BL-3D-51400 Rotary Head Wire Bending Machine Completes Training in Turkey
BELAN has completed seven days of on-site training for a BL-3D-51400 rotary head wire bending machine installed at a customer’s factory in Turkey. The machine will mainly be used to manufacture chair support frames from 14 mm solid wire.
The training covered machine structure, safety procedures, program editing, product setup, parameter adjustment and routine maintenance. Under the guidance of BELAN engineers, the customer’s employees operated the machine and adjusted the chair support program independently. The finished samples were inspected and accepted by the customer.

Training Based on the Customer’s Actual Chair Support
The seven-day program was not limited to basic machine demonstrations. BELAN used the customer’s actual 14 mm chair support as the training product, allowing the operators to connect each machine function with their daily production requirements.
The programming method, tooling position, straightening settings and bending parameters were all explained using the actual product. This approach helped the customer’s employees understand the complete process from raw material feeding to finished product inspection.
Training with the real chair frame also reduced the amount of additional testing required before production. When the customer needs to manufacture the same product again, the confirmed program and adjustment records can be used as a reference.

Understanding the Machine Structure and Safety Procedures
At the beginning of the training, BELAN engineers introduced the main components of the rotary head wire bending machine, including the wire payoff system, straightening unit, feeding mechanism, rotating head, bending tools, cutting unit and CNC control system.
The customer’s employees learned the correct procedures for machine startup, homing, manual operation, program loading and emergency stopping. They also checked the wire path, tooling condition and machine working area before operation.
The purpose of this stage was not simply to identify machine components. Operators needed to understand how the straightening, feeding and bending mechanisms affect the dimensions and consistency of the finished chair support.
Programming the 14 mm Chair Support
Setting the Feeding Length and Bending Sequence
BELAN engineers explained how to create the chair support program according to the product shape. The main settings included feeding length, bending angle, spatial direction and operation sequence.
The BL-3D-51400 changes the bending direction through its rotating head, while the wire mainly moves forward and backward. When programming the product, each bending step must follow a suitable sequence to prevent the formed section from interfering with the machine or tooling.
The customer’s employees first reviewed the complete chair support geometry and then divided it into individual feeding and bending steps. Each step was entered into the CNC system and checked before the full program was operated.
Checking the First Formed Sample
After the initial program was completed, the rotary head wire bending machine produced the first chair support sample. The operators checked its main dimensions, bending angles and overall shape against the product requirements.
Because solid steel wire can produce springback after bending, the initial program may require compensation. BELAN engineers showed the operators how to identify the corresponding program step and adjust the feeding length or bending angle without changing unrelated operations.
The program was tested again after each adjustment. Through this process, the sample gradually reached the required dimensions and shape.

Customer Employees Operated the Machine Independently
During the later stage of the training, the customer’s employees began completing the operating procedures themselves. They installed the wire, loaded the product program, checked the tooling position and started the trial production process.
BELAN engineers observed the operation and provided guidance when necessary. If a dimension or angle required correction, the employees first identified whether the variation came from straightening, feeding or bending parameters and then made the relevant adjustment.
This practical process helped the operators understand the programming logic of the rotary head wire bending machine. They learned not only how to start the equipment but also how to complete basic product setup, parameter correction and repeat production.
Routine Maintenance Included in the Training
Checks Before Starting Production
Before starting the machine, operators should confirm that the bending tools are securely installed, the wire path is clear and the lubrication points are in suitable condition. Tools, leftover materials and other objects must be removed from the working area.
Inspection During Operation
During continuous production, operators should observe whether the wire feeds smoothly and whether the product dimensions remain stable. The tooling surface and moving components should also be checked for unusual wear, noise or vibration.
Regular Cleaning and Maintenance
For a rotary head wire bending machine, the straightening unit, feeding mechanism, rotating head and bending tools require regular cleaning, inspection and lubrication. Proper maintenance helps reduce unexpected downtime and supports stable production of 14 mm chair supports.
BELAN engineers also explained the importance of keeping maintenance and inspection records. These records allow the customer to track tooling conditions and identify changes before they affect product quality.
14 mm Chair Support Passed the Customer’s Inspection
Before the seven-day training was completed, the customer’s employees independently operated the machine using the confirmed program. The finished 14 mm chair support was then checked for its overall shape, main dimensions and bending positions.
The sample met the customer’s acceptance requirements. This confirmed that the BL-3D-51400 rotary head wire bending machine had completed the transition from installation and commissioning to practical operator training.
The customer’s employees had also gained the basic skills required to operate the machine, modify product parameters and carry out routine maintenance. This provided a practical foundation for future production at the Turkish factory.
BELAN Supports the Complete Equipment Delivery Process
Forming a heavy-gauge chair frame requires more than sufficient machine capacity. The final result is also affected by material properties, product geometry, tooling condition, springback and the operator’s ability to adjust the program correctly.
BELAN provides support from product evaluation and machine selection to commissioning, sample testing and operator training. Using the customer’s actual product during training helps the production team understand how to operate the equipment and respond to common adjustment requirements after the engineer leaves the factory.
